TAY TAY! If you didn’t know I’m a die hard Taylor Swift fan and I was lucky enough to grab tickets for me and my two best friends to go to her 1989 tour! I have seen Taylor once before for the Red tour and it was amazing so I was super excited to be taking friends along this time!
Opening up the tour was Vance Joy who I have seen once before (read here). I was super excited to see him play for such a big audience. We were one of the biggest audiences both him and Taylor had played in front of. Very exciting. You know when you see them take it all in and their eyes just light up? Vance Joy looked like he wanted to pinch himself, it was amazing to see and his performance was stunning! He sang a few of my all time favourites; ‘Play with Fire’, ‘From Afar’ and ‘Georgia’.
Thank god for the giant screens for these close up picks! After Vance Joy was Taylor Swift. Starting out with ‘Welcome to New York’ the stadium went wild. I love huge tours like this, being surrounded by thousands of people all singing and loving the same music at once makes you feel more involved than dancing around to the songs in your room haha!
Taylor even sung my favourite song ‘New Romantics’ which I died for! The whole production of the stage, costumes, lights and dances made it the best concert I have ever been too. She really topped herself after her Red tour which was also amazing!
The picture below is one of my favourites, not a big screen pic! Her stage lifted her up over the crowd, after I took this shot I did put down my camera and just become full into the moment as Taylor was as close to me as I will probably have her in my life. It was magical. (Does that sound overly fan girl? I don’t care I love her too much!)
The finale was obviously ‘Shake it off’ and it went off with a bang, literally there was fireworks haha
I will be forever grateful I got those tickets, seeing Bronte literally shake it off with out a care and Alyssa’s face light up every time Taylor performed was all worth it. Will go down in the books as a fantastic memory!
Let me know if you have been to a Taylor concert, what did you think?
