Events with Rai | Australian Open of Surfing – Channel V Music Stage

The first event post of the year!
Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th Channel V were presenting a free music stage during the Hurley Australian Open of Surfing. Now I may not know much about surfing and skateboarding but who doesn’t love free entertainment in the form of music? Exactly.
The venue was right on the beach front which is always a great place to be, there was a whole mix of people ranging from school students, young adults and even families (I saw the cutest kids rocking out to the music). My friend and I went both days, it was great environment to just chill and catch up while listening to some great artists.

The bands that were playing on the first night were; Kilter, DMA’s and Jagwar Ma. I had heard one or two songs from the last two bands but they were all still new to me, which was great because there is nothing better than hearing new music for the first time. Plus they were all great live and had great energy. I really enjoyed Jagwar Ma and the EMA's were fun to watch.

I was super keen for the Saturday though! The acts were; Winterbourne, San Cisco and Vance Joy! Yes I was extra keen to see Vance Joy live! I unfortunately missed out on the first act (which was a tad upsetting cause I was keen to see them) but I recorded the program on TV so I still got to catch it. San Cisco was great! Awesome to dance stupidly with my friend haha
Then Vance Joy was on and the crowd lost it haha.
He was absolutely amazing live! His voice was brilliant which is always a plus when seeing someone live haha. I would definitely go see him again if I got the chance.

Hope you all enjoyed this sum up! Or you discovered new artists to fall in love with!
Let me know who your favourite artists from above are or just your overall favourites in the comments. Are there any songs you can't stop listening to at the moment? Let me know :)

Love always,
